McKowen, Paula L. (nee Shreve), age 61 of Ringwood at rest in Hackensack on July 29, 2017.
Beloved wife of Ron McKowen of Ringwood. Loving mother of Robert Garza and his wife Erin, Stephanie Bonaparte and her husband Mark, Lisa Werdann
and her husband Vinny, Matthew McKowen and his wife Lauren, John Garza and his fiancée Katie, and Travis McKowen. Adoring grandmother of Justin, Vinny, Cole, Anthony, Marisa, Christopher, and Lucas. Dear daughter of Dona Shreve and his wife Virginia and the late Rosalie Davis and her late husband Milton. Loving sister of Mark Shreve and his wife Robyn. Dear daughter in-law of Ronald McKowen and his wife Edith. Loving sister in-law of Gary McKowen and his wife Kristine.
Born in Morgantown, WV she lived in Virginia and Georgia before settling down in Ringwood, NJ. She was the Senior Vice President for Highland State Bank, Totowa for 10 years. Mrs. McKowen was the former treasurer at Ringwood Baptist Church and she was an active participant within the Totowa community. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday at 12:00 PM.
Cremation is private at the request of the family. Friends may visit Wednesday 2-4 & 6-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Paula McKowen Memorial Fund, 650 Union Blvd., Totowa, NJ 07512. Any donations made to this fund will then be divided among various children's charities that Paula was passionate about. For more information, go to www.festamemorial.com

To the family of Paula, I am so sorry for your loss, I became very close to Paula at the bank, as I was a customer which turned into a friendship. I will truly miss her with all my heart she was a gem, I would have loved to attend but didn't find out until later as I'm also doing chemo and was going through treatment, please know, I feel blessed to have known her and for her friendship. May God Bless you and your family.
