Aime Douville Obituary

Aime E. "Cass" Douville July 6, 1922 - June 18, 2013 Baltic - Aime E. "Cass" Douville 90, of 8 Park Dr. died late Tuesday evening at Pendleton Health and Rehab. in Mystic. He was born in Baltic on July 6, 1922 the son of the late Eugene and Rose (Charron) Douville. Cass owned and operated Douville's Package Store in Baltic for many years. He also drove school bus for the Town of Sprague and was last employed at Electric Boat in Groton before retiring. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Baltic, was a member of the Msgr. Synnott Council of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion Post #85 and the V.F.W. Post # 9621 all of Baltic. On August 3, 1946 he married Pearl (Hoffman) Douville at St. Mary's Church in Baltic who died on January 15, 2009. He is survived by four sons, Robert Douville and his wife Etchan of Pensacola, Fl., Richard Douville of Baltic, John Douville and his wife Betty of Canterbury and Christopher Douville and his wife Jean of Baltic; seven daughters, Carol Kane and her husband Ed of Hanover, Margaret Noe and her husband Bob of Norwich, Dolores Arpin and her husband Dave of Baltic, Barbara Silvestri and her husband Pete of Hanover, Mary Chattier and her husband Bill of Baltic, Catherine Miniski of Danielson and Elaine Fleischer and her husband Bill of Chester; 19 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Arthur Douville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Church in Baltic meeting directly at church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Baltic with Military Honors. There are no calling hours. Guillot Funeral Home, 75 South B. St., Taftville is in charge of arrangements.
