Joseph Watson Obituary
A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 12:00 noon at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal conducted by The Rev. George Franklin. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Culpeper National Cemetery.
Joey was born September 9, 1989, in Manassas, son of Allen Watson of Remington and Susan Yates of Front Royal.
He was a graduate of Warren County High School Class of 2008. He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington D.C.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by four brothers, Andrew MacMillan, Thomas Scott, Travis Ross, and Christopher Watson; a sister, Leanna Slaughter; maternal grandparents, Robert and Juanita Peters of Front Royal; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Orville and Virginia Watson.
Pallbearers will be members of the United States Air Force.
The family will receive friends on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, c/o Juanita Peters, 119 Manassas Avenue, Front Royal, Virginia 22630.

joey,it has taken me several days to respond here and even now it is so hard.I think all of us are still in denial and will remain so forever.You were my first born grandson ,I saw you come into the world as I did with both of your brothers,and I love you each equally,but as a grandmother it was differrent as you were the first.the last time we spoke your last words to me were I love you Nana,i will keep those words in the deepest part of my heart forever.I have so many wonderful memories of you and pictures I will cherish forever.You were so special to everyone you met.As with you first entering this world,with all of my health problems I am so glad i was able to be here for you at the end.We will be together again,until then I love you with all my heart and soul. nana

I'm actually speechless. I'm in complete shock that you are really gone. It doesn't feel real at all I feel as if I could sit here and text you and I would have a response in no time. I don't know where to start..firstly there's not a day that's gone by since the day I met you that haven't crossed my mind and that will never change. you've deff made a huge impact on my life. We've had our ups and our downs and I will never ever regret a single second of it. U will always have a special place in my heart and will forever be missed and loved. I hope you knew the impact you had on my life, since school we've been able to make each other laugh and make a bad day better....problem is you not being here to help me through losing one of my best friends..you. I miss you more than words can say.. You were the love of my life, and I just can't believe you're gone. I know you're watching over us and will take good care of us. Susan, what a bittersweet day your loss comes on the same day that I lost my brother, and he shared his birthday with my mom. I can't begin to know what you are feeling and wish I had the words to make it all better. Please know that you are in my heart and prayers. I didn't believe it when Hailey came and told me. I remember the day you came into Blockbuster for an interview. You were dressed to impress.Your mom was proud of you when you made the football team. She came into Blockbuster and gave me a picture. It is still hanging in Skye's room to this day. You will be greatly missed. I can't imagine what your mom is going through. I know she has a special guardian angel watching over her now!

Joey was like a son to me. I took care of him when his dad worked we became very close. He was a bright kid and was always out going. Joey and Allen lived me for awhile and we became even closer. Joey not only touched my heart but also the hearts of his couins Michael, Greg and Matthew they were like brothers.

Joey was by far one of the most caring, loving and considerate guys I have ever met in my life time. Anytime you needed him, he was there. I can think of countless, amazing memories that we shared.
