Josephine Halterman Obituary
Josephine was born July 13, 1933 in Gaithersburg Md., daughter of the late Joseph A. and Bertha K. Selby.
She was a gardener, artist and nature lover. She attended Christian churches.
She is survived by a sister Mary Kathryn Barbour and husband Tom, of Fort Valley; one brother Murray A. Selby and wife Madeline, of Fort Valley; four nephews; one niece; ten great-nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted Monday, December 13 at 11 a.m. at Community Church of God at Kings Crossing by Reverend Jennings Wood. Burial will follow in Emerson Walters Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 6-7 p.m. at Valley Funeral Service, Bowmans Crossing.
Pallbearers will be Murray Selby, Jr., Joe Selby, Michael Selby, TJ Selby, Jason Taylor, Garry Wood, and Joe Grenier.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Church of God at Kings Crossing, c/o Reverend J.B. Wood, 360 Boyer Rd., Fort Valley, Va. 22652 or Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork St., Winchester, Va. 22601.
Arrangements are being handled by Valley Funeral Service, Bowmans Crossing.

Something told me last weekend to visit Jo Anne - am so glad I did. I gave her a jar of my pickles, which Micki said she liked. For several years she was so gracious to give me a bunch of Magnolia leaves from her tree, so I could decorate my house for Christmas. Although she will be missed, she is healed and in the presence of our Lord.
