Hilda Seal Obituary


Hilda May Rinker Seal, 91, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Monday, September 20, 2010, in her home.

Mrs. Seal was born in Jerome, Virginia, in 1919, the daughter of the late Robert Russell and Mary Edith Rinker. She was a Statistician with the American Red Cross in Washington D.C. retiring after 40 years of service. Mrs. Seal was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Winchester.

Her husband, Ezra Lee Seal, whom she married on May 8, 1943, in Washington, D.C., preceded her in death in 2007.

Surviving is her son, David L. Seal and his wife, Angela, of Winchester, Virginia; three grandchildren, Jordan Seal, Tyler Seal and Ryan Seal all of Winchester, Virginia; and sister Helen Estep of Lavonia, Georgia. One sister, Virginia Fritz and two brothers, Waldo Rinker and Randall Rinker preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday at Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Blitch and Reverend Joel Hawthorne officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 844 Amherst Street, Winchester, Virginia 22601.
