Etta and the Plum Family; I went to Shepherd at the same time as Carl, and we played on the Ram football team together and after we went into teaching we competed against each other in football and track. I coached at the new high school in Strasburg and he was at Central. He was a good friend and a worthy opponent. We used to have track meets at the County fair grounds on the horse track. I am very sorry to hear of his passing, but knowing his background he went out as a fighter.I know he will be missed by all who knew him. RIP friend.

Played on Central's first football team 1959,coach Plum had 40 guys who never played the game all by himself. He was firm but always fair. Carl was a coach and friend who touched many and will be missed by all.

Prayers for the Plum family. Mr. Plum stopped by our house nearly every evening for years. He stopped to talk about the kids and ask what they were doing. He loved to talk to Aaron about baseball. When we got our dog he started bringing her treats so he could steal some love from her. Even though he couldn't see her every day lately our dog still whines when she passes his house. The neighborhood will certainly miss his smiling face. Rest in peace.
