Mrs. Cochran,
I wanted to personally tell you how much I thought of "Bull". I am Big John's granddaughter and Big John loved Bull as did I. I will never forget going to the golf tournaments with Leon and Frank Hayes. We had so much fun and he will be greatly missed by myself and my family!

Mrs Cochran: I just saw Mr. Cochran's Obituary in the Montgomery Advertiser, and wanted to extend to you and the children my deepest sympathy. Reading of his life story,my mind wandered back to the humid and hot August days of football practice at Cloverdale Field where Mr. Cochran was ever present (pipe and all) along with Earl Kreiss giving "free" coaching advice to Norman Green. He was a fine man, who really had a positive influence on my life. Give Joe my best, and may God's Grace sustain you during these difficult days. It's Friday, but Sundays'a-comin!
