Lois Andree Obituary

Lois Esther Eckhart Andree, 78, of Destin, Florida, passed away peacefully in her home on April 12, 2017.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Immanuel Anglican Church, 250 Indian Bayou Trail, Destin, Florida 32541.

Lois was born in Dover, Delaware to Lewis Frederick Eckhart and Esther Haggerty Eckhart on November 14, 1938. She married Martin Edwin Andree on June 15, 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland. She is a graduate of the class of 1956 of Milford Mill High School, Baltimore, Maryland.

Lois had a servant's heart, evidenced by the people she affected and the activities she supported. She almost never told anyone "No", but instead figured out how to fit into her schedule, whatever the need was that needed attention. Her first priority and focus was her family and right behind them were her friends, especially those from her beloved church.

Lois was a proud military wife of 25 years, where she supported her husband no matter where he was stationed or what his job entailed. She made sure she stayed in touch with current technology in order to be able to keep up with her growing family. What gave her the greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She served in her local church in many capacities; altar guild, Sunday School, office volunteer, preschool teacher substitute, nursery volunteer, Food for Thought, and church hostess. She was most definitely a people-person. She served graciously and tirelessly, those that she loved. Lois's gift was the gift of mercy.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Frederick Eckhart and Esther Haggerty Eckhart.

Lois is survived by spouse; Martin Edwin Andree, Children and spouses; Pamela Andree Wright and husband, Rupert Coke Wright III, Charlene Andree Robertson and husband, Dany Wayne Robertson, and Kurt Edwin Andre? and wife, Marsha Black Andre?, brothers; Lawrence Terrance Eckhart, Robert Frank Eckhart, and Barry Charles Eckhart , grandchildren; Emily Wright Mitchell, Hannah Robertson Payan, Martin Taylor Wright, Daniel Andree Robertson, Kurt Austin Andre?, Sarah Anne Robertson, Alyssa Ann Andre?, Jordan Edwin Andre? and great-grandchildren; Jean Margaret Payan, Cade Beckett Wright, and Ava Jane Mitchell
