John Robert Friedmann Obituary

McHENRY – John Robert Friedmann, 62, of McHenry, died Thursday, May 12, 2011, at his home.
He was born Dec. 16, 1948, in Waukegan, to Lawrence E. and Alma Pollock Friedman.
He graduated from Antioch High School. He was a member of Ironworkers Local No. 1. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. He welcomed time with his many nieces and nephews. He wintered at his home in Del Ray Beach, Fla., and lived in McHenry the rest of the year, spending time with his many friends.
He is survived by three sisters, Mary (Mark) Ellis of Sun Prairie, Wis., Nancy (Donald) Schrieber of Gurnee and Judith (Joseph) Trujillo of Las Vegas; a brother, Richard (Alice) Friedman of Huntsville, Ark.; a sister-in-law, Micki Friedman; and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Lawrence "Ed" (the late Lorraine) Friedman and Charles Anthony Friedman.
A memorial visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Foundation Fighting Blindness, www.fightblindness.org.

Dear Lord, Please grant John peace in your arms. He had many of his own crosses to bear on this earth as we all do. He will be remembered and missed.
