Richard DuPlain Obituary
He was born June 24, 1936, in Oak Park, to Francis L. and Selma (Lake) DuPlain. He married Veronica May Cody on Feb. 1, 1958, at St. Viator Church in Chicago.
He was associated with Seaquist Valve (Aptar), Oak Industries, Sage Products and Tyco Health Care. He was happy to belong to Triangle Fraternity. He was an avid runner and cyclist. He loved to travel with his wife, but most of all he enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren. He always will be remembered in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Verna M.; his children, Suzanne Kueffner of Crystal Lake, Audrey (Gary) Nelsen of Crystal Lake and Elizabeth (Robert) Foydl of Wonder Lake; his grandchildren, Jessica (Sean) Kearney, Zachery DuPlain, Robert Kueffner, Kayleigh Kueffner, Michael Nelsen and Anna Nelsen; and his great-grandchildren, Aidan, Madeline and Nathan Kerney.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may meet the family from 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 4, until the 10:30 a.m. Mass celebration at Church of Holy Apostles, 5211 Bull Valley Road, McHenry. Private interment for the family will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 405 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, IL 60010.

Our condolences to all of the DuPlain family. We were fortunate to spend some great neighborhood dinners with Dick and will cherish the memories. Heaven is rejoicing for Dick's entry.

Dear Vern,
I am so sorry to hear of Dick's passing. He was a man who made friends easily. I enjoyed the conversations Gary Polnow and I had with Dick when we shared a table back in the long gone days of the Oak Executive Dining room.
