Roberta Hoffman Obituary

McHenry – Roberta J. Hoffman, 76, of McHenry, died Saturday, April 30, 2011, at DeKalb County Nursing Home surrounded by her family.
She was born April 23, 1935, in Milwaukee, to Harold and Barbara (Lukens) Rathman. She married Jerrold (Jerry) Hoffman in 1970 in Chicago.
She was a member of Full Gospel Church in McHenry. She was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed spending time with her animals, especially her dog, Patches, and cat, Smokey, as well as her family and friends.
She is survived by her niece, Joan (Daniel) Dennis of Kingston; her nephew, Danny (Trisha) Briggs of Wonder Lake; her great-niece, Tricia Hammond; four great-nephews, Daniel (Christina) Dennis, Wesley Briggs, Danny (Destini) Briggs and Billy (Crystal) Briggs; and several great-great nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her two sisters, Virginia Saliu and Joanna Briggs.
The visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service Tuesday, May 3, at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry. Interment will be at 1 p.m. in Memory Gardens Cemetery, 2501 E. Euclid Ave., Arlington Heights.
