Robert Prchal Obituary
He was born Jan. 3, 1927, in Chicago, to Frank and Anna (Svec) Prchal. On July 7, 1951, he married Betty J. Hooper in LaGrange.
He enjoyed vegetable gardening and woodworking, was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed the northwoods of Wisconsin.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty; and his children, Linda (Charles) Faivre, Lawrence Prchal, Carol Prchal and Timothy (Charissa) Prchal.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Frank Prchal.
The visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service at noon Friday, Dec 17, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. Interment will be in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Faith in Action of McHenry County, 7105 Virginia Road, Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Online condolences may be made at www.querhammerandflagg.com.

To the family of Robert and Betty Prchal. I am so sorry for your loss of your dad. He was a true gem being your mother's primary caregiver for so long. Most men would not have taken the time or the care with a spouse that needed extra care like he did. It was a pleasure to be able to help him with your mom for a short time when Betty was still at home. He earned his wings to heaven in my book. I only hope that you can find peace at this difficult time.
