Charles Stoddard Obituary
He was born Jan. 15, 1933, in Crystal Lake, to Clayton and Adela Stoddard.
He married Anita Frais on Feb. 25, 1995, in Lake Tahoe, Nev.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He worked as a mechanical engineer for American Can in Barrington for 35 years.
His hobbies included wordworking and travel.
He is survived by his wife, Anita; three sons, Mark (Kimberly) Stoddard, Keith (Kimberly) Stoddard and Stuart (Mary) Stoddard; his grandchildren, Christopher, Eric, Lindsay, Claire, Ian, Nicholas and Benjamin; a sister, Irma Fercne; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan Turner Stoddard; and his sisters and brothers, Lucille Pierce, Margaret Winkleman, Lauren Stoddard, August Stoddard, Ella Mae Roberterson and Earl Stoddard.
The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 16, at Skaja Bachmann Funeral Home, 7715 W. Route 14, Crystal Lake.
The visitation will continue from 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, until the service at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Arn Schaper will officiate.
Interment will be in Crystal Lake Memorial Park.
Memorials would be appreciated to the Alzheimer's Association.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Chuck. I have many fond memories of him and his amazing sense of humor. Not only was he an uncle but he was a good friend to us all. My sympathies to Anita and my cousins Mark, Keith and Stuart. Rest in peace Chuck!

Uncle Chuck was a great man. He was a wonderful Godfather to me. The first thing that comes to mind when I think of him is his DRY sense of humor. Chuck is now reunited with many of his family in Heaven, and I did the math--he now lives in the same mansion with his Father, Clayton who he hasn't seen in 70 years.
