Irene Boron Obituary
She was the beloved wife of the late Victor R. "Vic The Barber" Boron for 50 years. Born Oct. 4, 1927, she grew up in Chicago and met her husband in Wisconsin during her high school summer vacations. They married in 1946, moving to Cary in 1954, where she was a housewife and loving mother. In later years, she worked and retired from Harris Bank. She and Victor worked side by side on Cary's Main Street for many, many years. Those who worked with her will miss her giggles and her tears.
In the years after retirement, she took pleasure in her family and her flowers. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, along with her sparkling eyes and contagious laughter.
She is survived by three children, Gloria Boron (Michael) Hood of Elgin, Donald (Cindy) Boron of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Michael Boron of Cary; four grandchildren, Jennifer Hood Gillie, Heather Hood Hargreaves, Nicole Boron Voiles and Joseph Boron; six great-grandchildren, Maxwell and Addison Gillie, Elliiott Hargreaves, Hunter, and Jayden and Kiptyn Voiles; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Saglowska; her father, John Sokniakiewicz; and a brother, Air Force Col. George F. Soniak and spouse.
The visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 3, with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Road, Cary. Burial will be private.

I was her neighbor on Spring Street for many years and I loved her
so much. She was such a loving and caring person and I was
privileged to share the good times and not so good times of life with
her. She loved her family so much.
Know my heart goes out to all of you as I lost my Mother this year as well. May you be blessed with the happy, fun memories you had with
her and your Dad.

Thoughts and prayers are with the family. I had the pleasure of working with Irene at Suburban Bank of Cary. She was a wonderful lady who always had a smile on her face. She will truly be missed.
