Ricky Calhoon Obituary
He was born July 24, 1958; in Crystal Lake, to Wendell and Diana Calhoon. He was the younger of two boys and was raised in Crystal Lake.
He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1975. He was prior Active Duty Air Force, working as an Air Force BioMedical Technician Reserves Unit/Squadron and Civilian Employee at the 18 Flight Test Squadron as an instrumentation technician.
He enjoyed life, working hard, and time with family and friends. He always was the first to lend a hand to those in need. He volunteered at local charities such as Meals on Wheels, delivering nutritious meals to the local elderly, as well as donating time, money and cooking skills at the Waterfront Mission in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.
He was a beloved father, husband, friend, military professional, and Patriot Guard member. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. We love and miss him.
He is survived by his wife, Fely Calhoon; a son, Joshua Calhoon; his daughters, Stephanie Calhoon and Michelle Quaranto; his stepdaughters, Mindy Rea, Abigail Rea, and Itzel Rea; and two grandchildren, Kaley and Kendra Quaranto.
A graveside service with military honors will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 6, at McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodstock.

I am so sorry for your loss, Rick is my Second cousin. My Mom, Carol Ackman and Rick were first cousins. She was always very close to Gary ( her Godson) and Rick , especially after Wendell and Diane Passed away. My Sympathies are with all of you.
