John Jensen Obituary
He was born Oct. 28, 1922, in Duluth, Minn., to Marius and Naemi (Ruhnberg) Jensen.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1943-46 and graduated from University of Minnesota in 1949. He loved to travel and camp with his wife and close friends, often to Europe, Florida and South Carolina.
He was the beloved husband for 60 years to the late Corinne, nee Erickson; loving father of Betty (Roy) Deans; dear grandfather of Christine (Jeremy) Krick; great-grandfather of Madelyn Krick; and brother of Dagney Jensen.
He was preceded in death by his wife; and his sister, Eleanor Jensen.
The visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Route 176), Crystal Lake. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Home of the Sparrow, 5342 W. Elm St., McHenry, IL 60050, or 815-271-5444.
