Mary M. Gaylord Obituary

WOODSTOCK – Mary M. Gaylord, 97, of Woodstock, died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, at Hearthstone Manor Nursing Home in Woodstock.
She was born April 18, 1914, in Antioch, to Henry and Bernice (Gurlo) Legler. She married Wilbert H. Gaylord in 1936.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Woodstock. Her hobbies included baking, gardening, shopping and birdwatching.
She is survived by her children, Wayne R. (Terry) Gaylord, Larry D. (MaryAnne) Gaylord, Donald E. (Cammy) Gaylord, Gerald J. Gaylord, Judith M. (Joe) Miller and Shirley A. (James) Forman; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Hank Legler and Leo Legler; four sisters, Anna Hall, Josephine Bauman, Julia Garrison and Rose Seiger; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter-in-law, Ann Gaylord; her brothers and sisters, Stella Krause, Sylvia Russie, Walter Legler, Chuck Legler and an infant, Theo; and a great-grandson, Damien.
The visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the celebration of the 11 a.m. funeral Mass on Saturday, Aug. 20, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 Lincoln Ave., Woodstock. Monsignor Aaron Brodeski will officiate. Interment will follow in the McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodstock.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 404 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, IL 60010-3141.
