James Krenz Obituary

CARPENTERSVILLE – James R. Krenz, 57, of Carpentersville, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Hospice and Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois.
He was born Feb. 3, 1954, in Elgin, to Raymond and Marjorie Holze Krenz.
He was a graduate of Elgin High School. He had been a resident of the Elgin, Hampshire and Carpentersville areas all his life, and he owned and operated Amy Plumbing Heating & Cooling until 2009.
He was a founding member of the Carpentersville Rotary Club.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia D'Argo Krenz, whom he married Feb. 10, 1996; four children, Jennifer (Ae) Phimmachack of Belvidere, Elizabeth (Jeff) Edwards of Palatine, John (Vanessa) Krenz of Carpentersville and Regina Krenz of Carpentersville; five grandchildren, Jade, Kaia, Ella, Delilah and Henry; and three brothers, Rick (Patti) Krenz of Elgin, Scott Krenz of Beaver Dam, Wis., and Robert (Jan) Krenz of Brooklyn, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The visitation will be from 4 p.m. Friday, June 3, until the funeral at 7 p.m. at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Christian Church Christ Redeemer, 641 Columbia Ave., Elgin, IL 60120.
