I was her neighbor for 10 years. When I would be leaving for work, I would see her in her kitchen window and we would wave to each other. It always gave me a sense of comfort. We would see each other more often in the spring and summer when both of us were working in our gardens -- her vegetable and mine flowers. My visits to her would be at her kitchen table with tea and cookies or home baked cake. Sometimes we would spend 2 hours just visiting. I will miss her terribly because of her warmth, kindness and friendship. She always remembered my birthday. She was a wonderful gentile lady.

Read about your grandma in the paper just recently and wanted to let you all know I am very sorry to hear of your loss. My family and I all have our thoughts and prayers with you now.

I will always remember what a great friend your mom was to my mother. May God bless your family and may all your wonderful memories bring you peace during this time.

What a beautiful tribute to a lovely lady. Her loss is felt by many. I had the pleasure of working with Mary at the St Anne's funeral luncheons and enjoyed her company so much. My fond memories will bring me peace and I pray that yours will help comfort you.
