Scott Kempf Obituary
He was born Feb. 24, 1968, in Elgin, to Donald and Vangie Kempf. He graduated from Harry D. Jacobs High School in 1986.
He was a commercial truck driver and self-employed carpenter. His hobbies included woodworking, motocross, fishing, outdoor activities, and a pursuit for the elusive patent for one of his many inventions.
He is survived by his mother, Vangie of Algonquin Shores; his brothers, Dan Kempf and Chris (Nancy) Kempf of Algonquin Shores, and Pete Kempf of McCullom Lake; a sister, Laurie (Bill) Montanye of Huntley; 10 nieces and nephews; Bill (Bridget) Behrens, Nicole Kempf, Mark (Rachael) Kempf, Shane Kempf, Connie Kempf, Tom Kempf, Jenni Kempf, Kurt (Megan) Montanye, Keith Montanye and Jenna Montanye; and seven great-nieces and great-nephews with another due in July.
He was preceded in death by his father in 2002; and brother, Nick in 2004.
A memorial service will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at The Pointe Outreach Center, 5650 Northwest Highway, Crystal Lake.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to his family.
