Wendy Lynn Novak Obituary
She was born Aug. 1, 1965, in Winston-Salem, N.C. She married Karel R. Novak on Aug. 6, 1999, in Loves Park.
She was employed as a machinist for several years at Union Special in Huntley and later became a full-time homemaker. Some of her interests were cooking, riding her motorcycle with her friends, gardening, crafts and sewing. She was known for her sense of humor, selfless giving to others, and love of animals. Her family was her main passion. She was a doting grandmother, focusing on their needs. She was a wonderful friend, and devoted wife and aunt. She will be sorely missed by her extended family.
Survivors include her parents, Robert and Shirley Finger of Harvard; her adoring husband, Karel; two sons, Joseph (fiancée Ashley Kowalewski) Novak of Loves Park and Jonathan, of the home; a brother, Rufus Blankenship of Harvard; a sister, Peggy R. Noble of Machesney Park; and two grandchildren, Alexis and Brayden.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Finger.
The memorial visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at Woodstock Assembly of God Church, 1201 E. Dean St., Woodstock, with Pastor Roger Willis officiating.
Memorial bequests may be made to the family.
