Harold Weingart Obituary
He was born Jan. 24, 1928, in McHenry, to Peter and Theresa (Freund) Weingart. On June 16, 1951, he married Lucille N. Nickles at St. Mary Church in McHenry.
Harold worked for Enterprise Ready Mix for more than 47 years and was a proud member of Local 150 Union for more than 58 years. He fixed lawn mowers as a hobby and loved to garden. He served in the United States Army from 1945 until his discharge in 1949.
Survivors include his children, Michael Weingart of Carpentersville, James Weingart of McHenry, Russell (Lauren) of Crystal Lake and Theresa (Ronald Freund) Folsom of McHenry; seven grandchildren, Melody (Chuck) Kolner, Jason Young, Erica Weingart, Jillian Weingart, Krista Folsom, Melyssa and Monique Weingart; three great-grandchildren, Maya, Jade and Trevor; and a sister, Lucille Salzman of Woodstock.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lucille; a sister, Rita Mason; and a brother, Peter Weingart.
Memorial visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 3, at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry, with military rites at 4 p.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, in Erica Weingart's name.
