BERNARD D. SCHUSTER HIGHLAND, IN
Bernard D. Schuster, age 89, of Highland, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2008. He is survived by two daughters: Donelle (Richard) Weiss of Hammond and Melody Kim(Richard) Veatch of St. Louis, MO; three grandchildren: Cory Weiss, Cassie (Scott) Muir and Carrie Veatch; sister, Jane (Rev. John) Roemer of Louisville, KY; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha (nee Trbovich) in 1994. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 10, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road), Highland, IN with Rev. Dr. Laura Reason, officiating. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery, Hammond, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family also on Monday morning from 9:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Bernard was retired from Morrison Construction after 32 years of service. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Highland. He was a glider test pilot in U.S. Army-Air Force. Bernard was also a member of the Indiana Harbor Masonic Lodge #686 F & AM of Highland and the Scottish Rite, Valley of South Bend for 53 years. Memorial donations in his memory may be given to the Masonic Childrens Home.

It is with sadness that I learned of dear Uncle Bernie's passing. I regret that I was unable to join you on Monday for the services.
