Ruth Klukas

RUTH ANN KLUKAS (RIGGERT) PORTAGE, IN Ruth Ann Klukas (Riggert), age 78, of Portage, IN, formerly of Merrillville, passed away in VNA Hospice on Sunday, December 23, 2007. She was a graduate of Horace Mann High School, class of 1948 and a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Gary. She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Leona Riggert in 1985; son James R. Klukas in 1991 and infant brother Herman Richard Riggert. Ruth Ann is survived by her son Kurt (Kim) Klukas of Portage; grandchildren: Craig (Jessica) Klukas of Columbia, S.C., Scott Klukas of Cincinnati, OH, R.D. Johnson of N.C. and Elizabeth Johnson of Portage, IN; great-grandchildren: Daniel and Darren Klukas of S.C. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 6pm at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th St. , Hobart, with Rev. Craig Forwalter officiating. Private burial will take place in St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery in Reedsburg, WI. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the VNA Horton Hospice, 501 Marquette St., Valparaiso, IN 46383.
