Jerry was particularly kind to me in high school and college. My brother Don is grateful to have reunited with Jerry at the IU Rose Bowl reunion a few years ago. The many good years you had together, Margie, is hopefully your comfort, as I'm sure you were to him. Will be thinking of you and your family warmly.

From one St. Mary's/Andrean family to another, Bear was an amazing man and he will be truly missed. I'll never forget hearing my uncles talk about his playing days, or the rib dinner he and his fellow AHS alumni made for us after the Penn scrimmage in 2004. Your family will be in our prayers, Mrs. Grecco.

Margie and Family,
Jerry has always had a special place in my heart. He stood up for my wedding and was in my dorm at Indiana University. I don't know if you remember me, Margie, but we double dated at Indiana University, and I was at your wedding. I remember how Jerry always got me tickets to the Indiana University football games and Angelo had the recreation vehicle and had great tailgate parties. We lost touch when we moved out of the country, but our memories together are in my college scrapbook and in my heart forever. Our love of Jerry we share with you.

We were saddened to hear of Jerry's passing. He has meant so much to our family since his days at IU. He was a great comfort to us during my father's illness and after his passing in 2008. Words cannot describe the heartbreak of losing such an amazing man. Jerry was welcomed into heaven with the loving embrace of God and his spirit is free. He taught all of us so much about life, courage, and most of all how to fully love others with our whole heart and soul.
