Hazel Mae Bradford

HAZEL MAE (BRIGGS) BRADFORD PORTAGE, IN Hazel Mae (Briggs) Bradford, age 100, passed away October 9, 2016, at Rittenhouse Village of Portage. She was preceded in death by parents William A. and Rosa Briggs; husband Wayne, four sisters and five brothers. Hazel lived her entire life in Portage and was proud that she and her six children all graduated from Portage High School, a school started by her father. Hazel is survived by children: Madeline Sanders of Circleville, OH, Larry (Virginia) Bradford of Minneapolis, MN, Roger (Mary) Bradford of Valparaiso, IN, Alan (Lynn) Bradford of Indianapolis, IN, Kendall (Rita) Bradford of Bloomington, MN and Vicki (Keith) Kahn of LaPorte, IN. Also surviving are many grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several loving nieces and nephews, including her special niece, Joan Bradford. Hazel was a homemaker and worked several years as a secretary at Hope Lutheran Church in Portage. Hazel loved the Lord, her family and the Chicago Cubs. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 friends may call between 3:00PM and 8:00PM, sharing of memories will occur at 7:00PM at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 10:00AM at Hope Lutheran Church, 6322 Portage Ave, Portage, IN with internment to follow at McCool Cemetery, Portage, IN.
