Donald Lukos Obituary
Donald L. Lukos Sr., age 65, of Beverly Hills, FL, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2010, at the Hospice Care Unit at Citrus Memorial Hospital. Born on September 15, 1945, in Chicago, IL, he was a son of the late Harry Thomas Lukos and Dorothy Lukos. Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sister. Survivors include his wife, Marla Shepperd Lukos of Beverly Hills, FL; son, Donald Lukos Jr. and wife Amy of Joliet, IL; daughter, Christie Schulz and her husband, Scott of Scottsdale, AZ; stepson, Jeffrey Zolkes; grandsons: Tim and Jason Lukos of Joliet, IL; and siblings: Susan Hjertquist, Sandra Brown, Cindy Brown Smith, Penny Brown, Candy Brown Halbe, George and Dale Brown. Don was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. For more than 40 years, he enjoyed his trade with fellow brothers of Local 395, Ironworkers. Don was an active member of the Calumet City Lions Club. Cremation by Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness, FL, with private memorial. Donations to the Cancer Society or Hospice would be appreciated.

My dad is my Hero and I will forever cherish the time I had with him as it was not as much as I would have like to have shared. He will always live in my heart. I miss him so much it hurts like crazy.

Bill & I extend our deepest sympathy to Don's whole family and we are praying for them. His family shared many good times with Don. They were all special to him. Don is at rest now and no longer in pain. We will all miss him! Bill & JoAnn Schoof

Don was truly the love of my life and I just don't know how I'll go on without him. But I have faith that God will see me through. Thanks to everyone who remembers him. I'll love him until I die.
