Eleanor Faye Bowen

ELEANOR FAYE BOWEN LAKE STATION, IN Eleanor Faye Bowen (nee Kettwig), age 65, of Lake Station passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2008. She was born on July 22, 1943 in Chicago Heights, IL to the late Henry and Doris Kettwig. Eleanor was a longtime Lake Station resident and was retired from Porter Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed crafts and bunco and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Eleanor is survived by her husband of over 47 years, Macarthur Bowen of Lake Station, IN; three children: Virginia Gale (Scott) Murphy of Portage, IN, Henry Baker (Rina) Bowen of Portage, IN and Timothy Mac Bowen of Lake Station, IN; five brothers: Joseph (Sandy) Kettwig of Doniphan, MO, Russell (Jeanie) Kettwig of Portage, IN, Anthony "Tony" (Beth) Kettwig of Lake Station, IN, Ronald (Teresa) Kettwig of Lake Station, IN and Daniel (Lisa) Kettwig of Portage, IN; one sister, Carol (Steve) Rummell of Portage, IN; four grandchildren: Anthony and Christopher Bowen, Shawn and Megan Murphy; and best friend, Debbie Szmutkko. She was preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Doris Kettwig. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, 3781 Central Ave., Lake Station with Rev John Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage. Visitation is Friday, November 28, 2008 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Brady Chapel, Lake Station.
