Dear Pat & Family,
We know the loss of Don will create a void that time will fill with the wonderful memories of his life. I know that I enjoyed your family and recall the visits when we were all a lot younger. The children were going in all directions and I recall you and Don were the height of patience. I recall his big smile and kind ways.
With our love.

To Pat and all the Belaschky's:
My deepest sympathy on the passing of Don. I remember him mainly from family trips to Valpo when I was growing up. He was a big, All-American guy -- a real-life Jack Armstrong -- with an upbeat personality and ready smile. During one of our trips to Vapo, I remember a softball game we played at a park somewhere in the Valpo area where Don hit the ball a country mile -- I had never seen a ball hit so far. Someone at the time said he was going to bring rain because he hit it so high. When the professional softball team, the King and his Court, came to Flint for exhibition games, I watched them at Atwood stadium. I never thought any of them hit the ball as far as Don did that day.

Amy and Family,
No matter how old we are, losing a parent is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know. May your memories bring you peace.

Amy,
I am so very sorry to hear about your dad. Losing our loved ones is one of the hardest things we ever go through.
I will remember your dad fondly. He would make me laugh so hard that I would almost p** in my pants and your mom would say "Donald, leave the girls alone"! He was like a second dad to me since I spent just as many hours at your house as I did at my own.
Give your mom a big hug from me and let her know I'm thinking of her.
I'll raise up a special prayer for you, your mom, and the rest of the Belaschky clan.
Celebrate your dad's life and know that he is now safe in the Lord's arms.
My deepest, most heartfelt sympathy,

Jackie and I want to extend our sincerest sympathies to you, Pat, and your family.
When I was a young, "fragile" boy, upon entering Junior High School, I had to walk all the way to uptown Hobart to go to school each day, At that time, Don owned the Conoco station and oil delivery service, which was near the school. I think I went there almost every day at lunch, and when he was there, Don always had the patience to talk with me and build my confidence to go back to school and try again. To this day, I remember vividly the conversations and what they meant to me.
With Best Personal regards,
John and Jackie hodsden
