James Wilczewski Obituary
James S. Wilczewski, age 59, of Hammond, IN, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Leann D.; two sons: Scott (Kim) Wilczewski and Kevin (Valerie) Wilczewski both of Lowell, IN; two grandchildren: Brandon and Marissa Wilczewski; one sister, Judi (Frank) Maraszkiewicz of Michigan City, IN; mother-in-law, Louise Leimbach of Colon, MI; numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Preceded in death by his parents: Steven and Tessie Wilczewski. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY from Christ Lutheran Church, 7051 Indianapolis Blvd., Hammond, IN with Rev. Roger Storms officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN and Thursday morning at the church from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to Christ Lutheran Church, 7051 Indianapolis Blvd., Hammond, IN 46324. Jim was a lifetime resident of this area. He was a retired maintenance supervisor at the Plant 2 Blast Furnace at Inland-Mittal Steel Co. where he worked for over 30 years. Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during Vietnam, a member of the Inland Steel Co. 25-Year Club and Christ Lutheran Church of Hammond, IN, where he served as an Usher.
