Roberta Rettig Edgington

ROBERTA RETTIG EDGINGTON WINFIELD, IN Roberta Rettig Edgington, of Winfield, IN, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2009. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joel Dee Edgington; daughter, Deanna (Mike) Brown of Buffalo Grove, IL; sons: Joel Dee Jr. of Crown Point, IN, Robert (Kathy) of Lowell, IN, Michael (Judy) of Hebron, IN and John (Shelly) of Valparaiso, IN. She was the proud grandmother of Jennifer, Christopher, and Julianna Brown, Marty, Krystal, Joey, Ryann (Brian) Courtney, Bobby (Amber), Nicole, Michelle, Kyle, Rudi and Adam Edgington, Valaria Nelson, Aryn Kooi and Jakob Vallee. Roberta was also blessed with two great-grandsons: Blake and Andrew Edgington. Also surviving is her sister, Gloria Pace; brothers: Herbert (Jackie), Donald and Frank Rettig; brothers- in-law: Charles (Lenora) and Leon (Bobbie) Edgington, Bill Alder and Harvey Roller. She was preceded in death by her parents: Wilbur and Margaret Rettig; sister, Sharon Alder; and brother, James Rettig. Funeral prayers will be said on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 9:15 AM at Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre (NOTE: NEW LOCATION-two blocks east of Broadway) at 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 321 E. Joliet St., Crown Point, IN with Fr. Pat Kalich and Fr. Derrick Dudash officiating. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Crown Point, IN. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23 2009 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Geisen Funeral-Cremation & Reception Centre in Crown Point, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Roberta's honor to St. Mary's Catholic School in Crown Point, IN.
