Albert Hoeksema Obituary

Albert Hoeksema Lansing, IL Albert Hoeksema, age 74, of Lansing, IL, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2005. Mr. Hoeksema is survived by his wife, Joan (nee Koesema); two daughters: Marcia (Larry) Gillespie of Lowell, IN and Lenore (Ray) Smith of Gillman, IL; one son, David A. (Renee) Hoeksema of Momence, IL; two step-sons: Tom S. (Sheri) Ten Hove of Chesterton, IN and Timothy J. (Lisa) Ten Hove of Highland, IN; ten grandchildren and one step-grandson; one brother, George (Mae) Hoeksema of Lansing, IL and one sister, Grace (Peter "Jim") Knol of South Holland, IL. Albert was preceded in death by two sisters: Johanna Gernaat and Evelyn Smits and one granddaughter, Madeline Smith. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2005 from 3 until 9 p.m. at the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd St., South Holland, IL. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at Peace Christian Reformed Church, 833 E. 168th St., South Holland, IL, with services conducted by Rev. Jim McCune. Interment at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lansing, IL. Mr. Hoeksema was a retired painter and a member of Peace Christian Reformed Church in South Holland. Memorials may be given to Calvin Christian School, 525 E. 161st. Place, South Holland, IL 60473. For further information please call 708-333-7000.
