Tom was one of the finest people to ever graduate from Emerson High School (Class of 1942). He was good and kindly man with love of life and concern for others. He was one of the long-time organizers of the Emerson alumni picnics. I had an opportunity to conduct an oral history of Emerson High School with him back in 2008, and meet his lovely wife, Janice. May he rest in peace.

At times like this words fail me. There is no way to lessen your sorrow. But, may you find some comfort in the knowledge that others care. May you, also, find some strength in that others are there for you during this difficult time. With deepest sympathy,

Just as the sun will set then rise with each and every dawn, the souls of those who lived life will eternally live on. Now that the sun has seemed to set on one so very dear, please know a soul who lived so well remains forever near. With heartfelt sympathy,

May your loss and pain grow lighter with every passing day, may caring friends support you in a sympathetic way. May warm and loving memories bring you hope and comfort, too. And may you find within yourself the strength to see you through. Wishing you peace in this time of sadness,

Tom was the brightest person to enter the room. I worked with him at St Mary's and always treasured his visits. He handed out the bingo cards to our patients. He always made everyone he touched feel better somehow. I am so glad to have known him. Rest in peace.

It has been my privilege to know Tom at the Maria Reiner Center, and earlier his wife, Janice. They were both very special to everyone there. We will miss them. Tom always had a smile and he did love to sing.

Thomas was a valued neighbor. He always watched out for us, and checked in regularly making sure we were alright. He always had wonderful stories to share, and always wore a smile. He had a special way about him to make all the people he met feel comfortable and appreciated. His positive nature and presence will be greatly missed, along with his beautiful, loving wife Janice. Tom is now at peace and happily reunited with his wife and family in heaven. We will miss having dinners with Tom and Janice and going to concerts, and having them to watch over their neighbors as our neighborhood parents.
