Tom was a wonderful man. He was a poet friend, and had so much intelligence and sensitivity. His warmth and thoughtfulness will always be remembered. What a great poet! Saying up to heaven, "We will miss you, Tom." God give comfort and peace to Tom's loved ones.
Sincerely,
Caroline & Allen Dewey, Ft Wayne

Spencer family,
There is no greater honor than to serve your country at a time of war. On behalf of a grateful nation, as an expression of appreciation for the honorable and faithful service rendered by your loved, I salute you Brother Tom.

May you find comfort in knowing that there are many other Vietnam veterans who share in your loss. May your memories of Tom soothe you, your friends comfort you, and your family's strength help your hearts begin to heal. May the love you shared sustain you through this time of sorrow. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
