Frances Mitro Obituary
Frances Katherine Mitro (nee Kobylanski), age 79, went to be with the Lord Thursday, October 8, 2015. A long-time resident of Hobart and Merrillville, she most recently resided at the Brookdale Senior Care Center in Fort Wayne, IN. Frances was born November 23, 1935 in Hobart to parents, John and Aniela Kobylanski. She married the love of her life, Edward G. Mitro, on June 14, 1958 in Gary, IN. For many years, she was the office manager at Rigg Dental in Merrillville. Frances is survived by sons: Edward Mitro and Rick Whiteman, and Gregory and Dianne Mitro; brothers: Jack Kobylanski and Durand Osborne, and Michael (Dru) Kobylanski; sister-in-law, Ann Early; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Edward; parents; brothers: Frank and Joseph; sisters, Estelle, Freeda, Josie, Jean, Helen, and Veronica. She was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church and the Msgr. Ryder K of C Wives, and a graduate of Hobart High School. Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service, 6360 Broadway, Merrillville, IN on Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Parastas at 3:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday, October 12, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel and 10:00 a.m. from St. Michael Byzantine Church, 557 W. 57th Ave., Merrillville with Rev.
