Thomas Sye

Thomas M. "Tom" Sye Hobart Thomas M. "Tom" Sye, age 82 of Hobart, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Tom was a Hobart resident for 39 years, formerly of Pennsylvania and a WWII Navy Veteran. He was retired from U.S. Steel, Sheet & Tin Mill in Gary. He is survived by his wife, Carol; six children: Thomas J. (Linda) Sye of Coconut Creek, FL, Jerry (Janet) Kaenrath of Hebron, Patty (William) Kaib of Center Township, PA, Diane Gallo of Griffith, Nancy (Raymond) Cron of Rochester, PA and Janet (Kevin) James of New Jersey; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Jane Belkowski of Ambridge, PA; sister-in-law, Evelyn Sye of Sewickley, PA; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Joe, Bob and Bill Sye; two sisters: Grace Wockley and Margaret Ludwig. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 2, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Road, Hobart, with Mr. John Berlin, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Hobart. Visitation is Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
