Herbert Yalof

YALOF--Herbert G., 72, of Queechee, VT, died September 21, 2009 after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. Beloved husband of 50 years of Ina (Schwartz). Devoted father of Leslie Yalof Garfield, Stephen, (Liora), Suze Yalof Schwartz, (Marc). Loving grandfather of eight. Born in Brooklyn, NY. Mr. Yalof had a long and distinguished career in retail fashion including President and Chief Operating Officer of Macy's North East. He spent many years in charitable service and was honored in 1986 as the University of Florida's outstanding alumni of the year. Herb was known for his kindness, generosity and great sense of humor. He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.
