Dr. Barbeito was my first professor of Spanish (as a Spanish major) at Montclair State College (1968) - she was very tough in the classroom. One day, for reasons I don't remember, some of us students went to lunch with her in the student center and I saw the kinder, softer human side that I didn't see in class. She took us to a museum in NYC once. Really liked her, never forgot her.
