Funny that this should come now as I have been talking to old Hedgerow Repertory people - actually the 3 left. Rose Schulman the great acting teacher at Hedgerow Theatre loved Tresas acting. She said that Tresa could play the ordinary which was a bog compliment from Rose. A wonderful actress who I will always remember as well as her friend at Hedgerow Marlene Sanders. All my very best to Tresas Family. Always be proud of her.

I loved her acting. Marlene Sanders just told me of her death. She was true to her trading at Hedgerow Theatre. I shall miss her always. A big loss for the Theatre Community. Contact me. - Gail Cohen [email protected]

It was a pleasure working with Tresa Hughes in New York City years ago in the play "Tribute." She was a warm and classy lady. Ms. Hughes will be greatly missed.

Many thanks for the condolences. We already miss Tresa badly. Here is a delightful obit that she wrote herself, with a nice punch line: http://www.paulloeb.org/tresahughesobit.html

The first show I worked on in New York was with Tresa. She was warm and giving and very talented. She also had one of greatest laughs of anyone I know. She will be missed by many and my condolences go out to her family and friends.

Tresa, a great friend of my father's and mother's, was a huge and fascinating presence in my life from earliest childhood. She is one of the reasons I came to love theatre, film, and New York

I am saddened to learn of Tresa's death…she has a special place in my adolescent heart from years ago as the mother of my friend Rebecca. Time spent with her was full of good humor, fascinating conversation and interesting people. She was one of a kind as an actress and a person and will be missed by many. Love to Rebecca and her son Will from Carol Pomerance
