BEVERLEY FULLER Obituary

FULLER--Beverley Bozeman, 85, actress, dancer, choreographer, and writer, died on October 31, 2012 after suffering a stroke, in Annapolis, MD with her family around her. She danced with the San Francisco Ballet in 1943, the American version of the "Folies Bergere" in 1944. On Broadway in New York opposite Ray Bolger in "Where's Charley?" 1949-50 and in the Broadway Revival of "Pal Joey" in 1953-54. She returned to the stage in 1982 in "No No Nanette" and in "Pal Joey" in Indianapolis in 1983. She choreographed many ballets with Valerie Bettis in the early 1950's. She wrote "Cooking on Your Knees" in 1973, a cookbook for racing sailors. As a journalist from 1988-91, she wrote for Northeast Magazine/Hartford Courant doing profiles of prominent Connecticut residents. She was married to composer Dean Fuller 1955 to 1980. As a painter she specialized in Chinese Brush Works, studying with renowned Chinese painter Arnold Chang from 1999-2009. She is survived by two children and four grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Lincoln Center in New York or the Hospice of the Chesapeake in Annapolis MD.

I admired Beverley so much as we practiced line dancing at Ginger Cove. She helped us learn to turn without falling on our faces. Her grace was outstanding. She did what I always aspired to do (never had the talent!).
She was still beautiful and generous as she helped with choreography for our Senior Olympic Line Dancing efforts. I admired her from the beginning and I miss her.
