Joseph Lukinsky

LUKINSKY--Rabbi Joseph. The Jewish Theological Seminary mourns the death of our esteemed colleague, Rabbi Joseph Lukinsky, Theodore and Florence Baumritter Professor Emeritus of Education, JTS. Professor Lukinsky was an extraordinarily creative thinker whose vision of Jewish education profoundly influenced JTS and Camp Ramah. A member of the faculty for more than three decades, he taught many of today's leading Jewish educators and scholars, and his constant inquiry into new ideas and methods made him an extraordinary role model for Jewish educators throughout the world.
