I only found out today that Sherry has passed. We met a long time ago, when she was working at the theatre in Bremen / Germany and I while training to be an actress took singing lessons with Sherry. She was very witty and very enthusiastic and I learned so much from hear, not only about voice and music. She left Bremen a couple of years later, I did as well, and somehow I always thought we would meet again. So sad to hear that this won't be possible any more.

Our paths crossed just a few times, but she was a generous colleague, fun, and kind. I was so very sorry to hear of her passing.

I met Sherry at Chatauqua Opera although her reputation preceded her by a mile. Not only was she famous for her singing but for being "Sherry" ...smart , sassy and funny...really funny.I miss her every day.
Her artistry lives on in our memory and her "Sherry"lives on in our hearts...

Chautauqua Opera shares our deepest condolences on the passing of soprano Sherry Zannoth. Sherry was a unique performer and personality. Her great singing and her "wicked" sense of humor filled every room she was in with joy and laughter. I had the great delight of working with her first in Lansing and later at New York City Opera on many productions and then at Chautauqua Opera where Sherry had started in the Young Artist program many years before. She was also a dear friend for many years. I will always remember a wonderful artist and great lady.
