Ruthie...Charlie DeRose was kind enough to call me last evening to inform me of Ed's demise. I have so many fond memories of time spent together with Ed, both in the uptight world of HLS as well as in the more relaxed environment of Cape Cod. Similarly, Jane and I have many wonderful memories of the four of us spending time together. Please accept our sincere condolences at the loss of a good man. Saul & Jane Gliserman.

Ed was a great guy! His logic never prevented him from enjoying the absurd adventures of his friends. Bob and I admired him. His smile and curiosity will long be remembered.

Ed was a very special friend and Phi Gam brother to me, at Cornell and beyond. He was my mentor in more ways than one. In terms of influence in my life, he will stand as one of the extraordinary individuals I had the privilege to know. No one can take his place.
