PHILIP GELLER

GELLER--Philip. The Boards of Directors, leadership and staff mourn the loss of longtime MJHS leader Philip Geller. Phil played an instrumental role in helping MJHS transcend its brick-and-mortar origins and expand into home - and community-based services. Phil served for more than 50 years on various MJHS boards beginning in 1961. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Muriel; two sons, Barry and Elliot; a daughter, Nina Scott; eight grandchildren and a great grandson. A tireless advocate for access to innovative health care facilities for all New Yorkers, Phil was an inspirational leader, real estate and construction expert, generous supporter, avid tennis fan and former standup comic in the US Army.
