At a dinner of old friends, Peter's name came up in conversation, fondly.
We decided to look him up in the search engine of the internet and lo and behold, found this listing - we were saddened to learn of his passing and send our deep condolences to his wife, Helen, and his family.
We honored our friendship with Peter many years ago in NY. He was a volleyball player with many of us and a true friend and mentor. We remember a lovely gathering at his home with wonderful piano music!
With fond memories

All the "????" at the end of my prior entry is from the Kaddish (the Hebrew previewed fine, go figure). It said (in transliteration)
Oseh shalom bim'ro'mav, hu ya'aseh shalom aleinu, v'al kol yisrael v'imru: Amen

My uncle called my father a Renaissance Man – no description was truer or more accurate. A man of few words but great depth. He was my mighty oak, and I the acorn who fell so close to his base. I miss you always dad.

Peter Weil was a gentleman among Kaye Scholer lawyers. He was incredibly respectful and often had great advice when personal matters arose as well. I count myself truly blessed to have known him.

Peter was a gentleman's gentleman, and one of the most talented, cultivated people I've ever had the honor to know. He was shy and
unassuming and without pretense,
but with a sly sense of humor, and a
streak of kindness and generosity a mile wide. I miss him.

In the early 60's, Peter and I sat in his parents living room with our head phones in place listening to Mahler! We shared some wonderful times. When I listen to beautiful music I still remember those head phones!

We were classmates at Horace Mann School and sat next to each other at attendance every morning. He had a great sense of humor and was a joy to know.
