R. REICH Obituary

REICH--R. Donald, died on February 3, 2014 of complications from Parkinson's disease. Born in Yonkers, NY in 1921, he was raised by his mother, Alma Shannon, and graduated from Gorton High School, Dartmouth College and Harvard Law School. Donald served as a Naval Officer in World War II, later becoming the President of Airco, Inc., an industrial gas producer, and Vice Chairman of Orion Capital, an insurance holding company. He and his wife Constance Verrill Reich raised their family in Brooklyn Heights, NY, and Ridgewood, NJ, retiring to Redding, CT. Donald spent as much time as he could at Point O' Woods, Fire Island, a community he cherished. He is survived by Connie, his wife of 59 years; his son, Dr. D. Bradford Reich (and wife Patricia Pierce) of Brookline, MA; his son Christopher V. Reich (and wife Eleanor Paschal), of Purchase, NY; and his five grandchildren, Christopher, William, George, Anna and Eleanor. A service will be held at Rye Presbyterian Church, 882 Boston Post Road, Rye, NY at 11am on Saturday, February 15th. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the Michael J.
