IRA MARDER Obituary

MARDER--Ira. Of Englewood, NJ, passed away on April 8, 2014. He was 94 years old. He leaves behind his beloved wife of more than 52 years, Anne, sons William and John, their wives Dominique and Valerie, as well as five grandchildren and a niece. Ira served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, when he was stationed in China, Burma and India. Ira served as the President of the Matson Manufacturing Company of Long Island City, a company founded by his father, Leo Marder. Ira also served as the President of the Englewood Community Chest, raising money for local projects. In his spare time, Ira was an avid sailor, skier and traveler. Ira will be greatly missed by his family, friends and former coworkers. Memorial services will be held at Scanlan Funeral Home in Pompton Plains, NJ on Sunday, April 13th at 2:30pm.

Ellen and I wish to extend our condolences to Anne, William, Dominique, John, Valerie and their children. We are so sorry for your loss. Ira's life and memory are a blessing.
