IHLER GRIMMELMANN Obituary

GRIMMELMANN--Ihler, born April 2, 1922, died November 10, 2014. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Frances, by his children, Erik (Louise Gikow) and Ellen (Moshe Adler), and by his half-brother Frank. Predeceased by daughter Lisa Bidwell and by his sib-

lings Dorothy, Ann, and Karl. Much loved grandfather of James (Aislinn Black), Rachel, and Lily. Great-grandfather of Beatrice. Graduate of Middlebury College (1943) and Columbia University's Teachers College (1948). Worked as a child psychologist in White Plains, NY as well as with Head Start and in early childhood education. Among his happiest times were his sailing years on "Tranquillity" with Frances. My most sincere condolences to the Grimmelmann Family. I have very fond memories of Ihler and the time our family spent a lovely afternoon on the boat. He was a wonderful colleague and friend to my father. He will be missed by all who knew him.
