ENNIO L. UCCELLANI

UCCELLANI--Ennio L., DDS. It is our sad duty to report that Ennio L. Uccellani, DDS, Professor Emeritus at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015, at the age of 90. Dr. Uccellani received his DDS from the Columbia University School of Dental & Oral Surgery (now the College of Dental Medicine) in 1948. His academic tenure with the school began in 1950 and ended 40 years later when he was Assistant Dean for Clinical Affairs. Among a number of other offices held, Dr. Uccellani served as president of the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics and consultant to the Veterans Administration Hospital. In 1994, the College of Dental Medicine appointed him Professor Emeritus and Special Lecturer, thanking him for his "dedication, straight forward advice, and excellence as a teacher." Dr. Uccellani is survived by his three daughters, Claudia, Luise, and Valerie, two sons-in-law, and five grandchildren. The family will have a private service in Dr. Uccellani's honor.
