Jackie Fitts Obituary
ODESSA Jackie Lee Fitts, age 77 of Midland, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Midland Hospice.
Jack was born July 13, 1935 to Jack and Dorothy Fitts of Roscoe, Texas. Jack was married to Jan Akins Freeman in 1996. He graduated from Roscoe High School and entered the Army in 1953. Jack was stationed in Korea, Italy, and Germany over a period of thirteen years, serving as a warrant officer in a missle battery. Upon return to West Texas Jack worked for EDI and later became a partner in ESI Supply.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Richard Greg Fitts.
He is survived by his wife, Jan, his daughter, Sherrill Fitts Wells and her husband Shane of Odessa, Jeff Freeman and his wife Karen, Eric Freeman and his wife Paula, of Odessa, Leslie Parry of New Orleans; his sister Kay Posey of Midland; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, August 31, 2012 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Eric Freeman, son of Jan Fitts, officiating.
